Plain and simple, the grip pads are the best for avid weightlifters. I workout with weights 5 days a week (cardio on the 2 off days). I use the grip pads for almost everything. I still use the straps for the lat pull down but that is about it. I started with gloves, then moved to straps, and now I use the grip pads. They are great with dumbbells and barbells. Most important of all, you hands do not move at all. I lift pretty heavy for a 60 year-old guy (90 lb DB) and the grip pads make it so much easier. I don’t have to worry about slippage at all and they are just the right size. Two sets of pads — one thicker than the other — come with the purchases. Personally, I like the thinner pads more. The pads are so inexpensive which makes the decision a no-brainer — buy them now!
